Powerful Patterns 8: Decimals & Fractions with the Digits 2 & 5

Look at the list in the virtual chalkboard below. You should notice a pattern...

0.5 = 1/2 & 0.2 = 1/5

0.05 = 1/20 & 0.02 = 1/50

0.005 = 1/200 & 0.002 = 1/500

0.0005 = 1/2,000 & 0.0002 = 1/5,000

0.00005 = 1/20,000 & 0.00002 = 1/50,000

0.000005 = 1/200,000 & 0.000002 = 1/500,000

0.0000005 = 1/2,000,000 & 0.0000002 = 1/5,000,000

Whenever another zero was added after the decimal point but before the 5 or 2, the denominator of the fraction got another zero! In other words, the denominator gets multiplied by consecutive powers of 10!

Apparently, the 5 & the 2 can swap places between each side of the equation! Neat, isn't it?

Speaking of patterns, maybe you already seen some other numerical math patterns that other mathematicians already discovered & published! (Besides me or you; any open-minded person can be a great mathematician, like me!)
